Bio

Director of IMI since November 22nd, 2016. Associate Professor in UCM since 2005. PhD in Applied Mathematics since 1996. Academic visitor at University of Oxford (10,5 months) and at Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (Paris-Rocquencourt, France, 6 months). Researcher at Dassault Aviation (Paris, France, 3 months). Postdoctoral researcher at University of Houston (9 months).

Research interests

Modeling, optimization and simulation in Science, Technology and Industrial applications, mainly using Partial Differential Equations. Specific research lines: Epidemics modeling, modeling and numerical simulation of high Pressure Processes in Food Engineering, other modeling and optimization problems in Science and Engineering, Differential Games, Factorization of Boundary Value Problems, Approximate controllability, control and stabilization of dynamical systems.
