Research Group: Mathematics and quantum information

OVERVIEW

NEWS

The group “Matemáticas e Información Cuántica” started in 2006 with the aim of exploiting the relations between Mathematics and Quantum Information. Currently it is formed by 2 senior members, 1 distinguished visitor, 2 postdocs and 2 PhD students. After the summer we will incorporate 2 additional postdocs.

Despite its short history, the group has an extensive scientific production in the form of papers published in the more prestigious journals in the field.  The group also maintains a wide network of collaborators in many prestigious institutions, as for instance the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (Munich), Niels Bohr Institute (Copenhagen), University of Vienna, California Institute of Technology, University of Hannover, University of Postdam, University of Innsbrück, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Instituto de Ciencias Fotónicas (Barcelona), Universidad de Barcelona or Universidad del País Vasco.

Concerning financial support, the group has now a grant from Plan Nacional de I+D, one European Grant, one grant from Comunidad de Madrid and two from I-MATH project.
