GENERAL INFORMATION. The main goal
of this series of
workshops is to provide a meeting point where scientists and
technicians in the field can find a discussion forum to promote
research and encourage interaction and exchange of ideas. Topics for
the 6th WRQ included, but were not limited to Analytical Innovations,
Approximations and Computational Methods, Control and Statistical
Inference and Applications.
In this edition, the 6th WRQ was organized as a satellite workshop of
the Second Madrid Conference on Queueing Theory (http://www.mat.ucm.es/~mcqt/confe/conf.html).

CALL FOR PAPERS. A selection of
original, high quality contributions
is being published in the special issue "Advances in Retrial Queues"
of the European Journal of Operational Research.
Both theoretical/methodological and application-oriented articles have
been
welcome. Articles submitted to this special issue are being refereed
following the usual standards of all major international journals.
CONFERENCE VENUE. The meeting
took place at a conference and
residence hall called "La Cristalera", please click here, at 2 Km.
from Miraflores de la Sierra, a small village located 50 Km. north of
Madrid. All the participants and their accompanying persons were
accommodated in this residence.
