Stochastic Modelling Group
General description
The research group was founded by Jesús
R. Artalejo in 1991, and it is currently
integrated by five members working at the Complutense
University of Madrid. Since 1991, our interest has been in Stochastic
Modelling. We have dealt with a variety of models arising from Queueing,
Telecommunications and Biology. In a past time, the emphasis was put on retrial
queues, where we wrote a monograph, and on matrix-analytic methods. Our present
research is focussed on the use of stochastic tools in Epidemics and Population
Models.
